People, can I tell you how good I’ve been about money lately. SO good. I’ve been saving every possible penny for the wedding. I haven’t stepped foot in Marshalls in ages, I’ve limited myself to only one chai a week if that and I haven’t bought a pair of shoes in forever. So long, actually, that I had to take a minute and think back to the last pair I bought and I couldn’t remember! Usually I can tell you exactly which pair, where they are in my closet, the precise color, fabric, texture and heel height and what the weather was like the day of the purchase.
It’s been a long time since I bought shoes.
But last night, wedged on my side of the couch, Michael asleep on the other side and a CSI re-run playing in the background, I clicked the “Buy” button on endless.com.
I felt kind of dirty. In a good way.
I told myself that it wasn’t frivolous shopping, it was wedding shoe shopping. A must! A necessity! I can’t go barefoot! And not only that, they were on sale. Be still my heart.
I know I just said I was going to stay with traditional white, but then I saw these, the exact color of my bridesmaid dresses and thought “ooooh pretty.” There was another pair with a flower that were stunning, but of course they didn’t have my size. So I ordered these and will make a decision when they arrive.
Jojus2 by Nine West
And then I saw these. And my heart started racing and my eyes got a wide and I fell in love. Yes, the front is simple, but people, do you see the back?
A bow! A beautiful bride-ish bow. When I pictured my wedding shoes I always thought they would have a bow. Meow.

Luichiny Zeppelin Pump
My only concern is that since these shoes only come in whole sizes, they’re not going to fit me. I read the reviews and based my size choice accordingly. I am crossing my toes that they fit.
Thank goodness for FREE overnight shipping. They’ll arrive tomorrow!

Holy goodness those red shoes are damn sexy! Love the bow! M-E-O-W to both pairs! I’m jealous you can wear such fabulous high heels.

They are both gorgeous! Maybe you could do the white for the ceremony and then switch to red for your dancing shoes at the reception…that is, if your conscience will let you justify buying two pairs - but it’s your big day! If that’s not reason to buy/wear two pairs I don’t know what is.

I REALLY like the idea of red (or otherwise colored shoes) with the white dress. I hope they look and fit great!

You had me at the bow! Aaaah! So cute =)
If they don’t work out, I think having shoes of another color is a supa’ idea. I love when brides branch out.

both are awesome. i almost wore pink patent leather knee-high boots under my dress, just to have some fun. but decided to go a little more traditional later on. i went w/ silver so i could still wear them again, though. anyway, the white ones are so pretty and so very bride-y. i obviously don’t know your feet (wouldn’t that be WEIRD) but i own a pair of that brand (luichiny … i think i can tell from the inside label… also hope i’m spelling it right) and they were actually great & really comfy.
good luck w/ these!!!

Did you close comments on yesterday’s post? Isn’t it awesome when something that YOU write on YOUR very own blog turns into drama? Ha ha! It’s kinda like inviting someone over to your house and having them say something about your decor, your children, your cat, your husband, etc.
I really, really dislike people like that, they are generally the orange, fake and bake, gym whores.
In other news I ♥ your blog!

Oh the bow is so cute. If I may offer one piece of advice: WEAR THEM BEFORE THE WEDDING. Scuff them up outside on pavement so they won’t slip if you’re on carpet and break them in a bit.
Oh they are so cute.

The red equals stunning. The bow? meh. I actually have issues with bows and if I didn’t I’m sure I’d be head over heels (haha, heels) in love with them. I actually told my mother no bows, on anything, for the wedding and when i went to NYC the week before my wedding she took it upon herself to affix bows to all of the corsages and boutonnières. I did not even notice until the wedding was over and needless to say, I was pissed. I have no idea why bows bother me so much. It’s odd actually

I love them both so much! I am a HUGE bow fan, but I also LOVE red… so I couldn’t possibly decide. I’d probably have to keep them both and wear one at the ceremony and one at the reception. Especially since the red ones were on sale!

I love those red shoes. I covet them. I am so sad they don’t come in purple because then I would really want them to be my wedding shoe.
Also, I went to a wedding where the bride DID go barefoot. It was kind of funny.

OMG! I LOVE those white ones! When I first started wedding shopping, I wanted a big dress with red buttons all the way down the back. I ended up not doing that, but red shoes would have been cool. I, however, cannot get over the beauty of those white shoes with a bow! WOW!

Both shoes are super cute. I think you should definitely wear them both! There is no way I could wear them though. T and I are only an inch apart in height (I’m a giant), and I don’t want to be taller than him. And I’m clumsy. I’d probably end up flat on my face in any heels higher than 3 inches. Sigh for being clumsy and having easily sprainable ankles.

YUM to the red shoe. I am completely jealous. I am having a weird shoe drama all my own which I shall hopefully recap today if I get a moment. I also love the bows. Good for you on the cutting down of the spending - so hard to do!! I can’t wait to hear more

I just purchased the first shoes in purple for a formal I am attending tonight. LOVE love love them. At first, I thought the heels would be much too high, but they are super comfortable and the colors are beautiful. Endless.com is amazing too. I ordered a few pairs Monday at 5 and had them by 11am the next morning. Plus free shipping both ways. Can’t beat that!

Ooooh, pretty! For both of them…
Can I just go with what a few other commenters had to say and advise you to purchase them both? I mean, you’re the SHOE-ru, you should definitely have two pairs of shoes!!!
The red is SO so so hot and sexy (and, ooh, autumn-themed, hahaha), and the bow is so pretty and wedding-y and fab.
Yes, it’s been decided: you need both! The bow for the ceremony and the red for dancing the night away!
(But, if you can only have ONE [boo], you should consider which pair you might wear again– I would say the red ones, but that’s totally up to you. SO pretty, either way you go! Yay!)

Those red Nine West shoes are exactly the ones I am wearing in my wedding. Sitting at home waiting for the day. I figured I’d never wear my dress again, but I would definitely be able to wear the shoes again. And I hate white shoes.

Love the shoes. Especially the bows.
A couple of summers ago, I was white. WHITE. Not a human white, though it really was my natural color. So I bought some of the lotion-type dye. The bottle PROMISED not to streak. It promised me a nice, healthy, natural glow.
Well, I can promise you I made the orange girl look attractive. I looked like the Tiger woman, but not in a good way. I was all streaky and stripy. Needless to say, I have stayed with my own pearly whites since then.

I know I’ve never commented before, I’ve been reading for about a month, I guess. But I just gotta pop in to say, I love the bows.
Although I did get a kick out of your statement that you can’t go barefoot, because I actually did just that. I got married last summer, and went completely barefoot for my wedding. I live in Texas, and my wedding was in June, so I decided that if I was going to layer on the clothes at 98 degrees outside then I had to find some way to stay cool! Oh, and I love being barefoot, anyway. So I just got a delicious pedicure and walked down the aisle, danced away, mingled at my reception, etc. All without any shoes on my feet. It was glorious.
Anyway, just thought I’d share.
