The other day someone left a comment saying it seemed like I was begging, just BEGGING for comments. That made me laugh. It also made me think of a great t-shirt idea. Maybe I should sell them!
We could all get together and wear them en mass. I think it would be fabulous.

Here’s my take
1. We ALL want comments. Nobody can deny that
2. There’s a difference between begging for comments and setting things up so readers have something to comment on easily. You’re the latter type.
I don’t know of any blogs that outright beg, but the people who end every post with a “HEY? WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS MENIAL QUERY?” are starting to get on my nerves because they make me feel guilty for not commenting on every entry. You’re totally not one of those types of people, though.
I also support people saying whatever they want in the comments as long as they don’t do it anonymously. My own “policy” is say whatever you want, but I maintain the right to delete your comment. The next time somebody leaves you a stupid stupid stupid comment (there are stupid people everywhere), just delete it, I vote.

Pleeeeeease. We don’t write for the comments, we write for ourselves. But it’s like talking to a bunch of friends; the comments are just a bonus. The person is probably just pissed that nobody comments on theirs.
By the way, do you know how to change fonts/colors on wordpress? Peter won’t help me at all.
