Congrats on the new little guy! And I'm so glad that the weight is mostly coming off easily for you...I don't have kids yet, and that's one of my main worries. I guess that's kind of shallow, but I'm a dancer and the prospect of gaining pregnancy weight kind of terrifies me! haha. Anyway, sounds like you're doing amazingly :)

Ok, now for the important question: HOW did you get that little one to nap in his crib?? My three week old wakes up the moment he's put down. Did you have to train him, or was it magic? :) I have a three year old in addition to this one, and it sounds like you're handling the 1 to 2 transition much more gracefully than I! Good work lady! I know it's hard!

I think it sounds like you are doing an amazing job. It has to be incredibly difficult at times, but thank goodness you've got family nearby to help you out from time to time. I hope the grooving times outweigh the stormy times :)

Love the photo of your littles toes! I'd love to take a little nibble if you're okay with it. I am seriously loving the honesty here, I need to know what to prepare myself for and this is just the truth, I love it. Thanks for sharing!

Great picture. Glad you are adjusting and YES to getting help. Whatever you can accept. I'm with you on in-laws being viewed differently once you really need them :)

You are doing great. I, too, love your honesty in writing about your highs and lows and have followed you (thank goodness it isn't called stalking) for a while now. Hope you continue for a good long time.

I love reading how things are working out for you - you're a few years ahead of me in the life department and my future babies are (hopefully) right around the corner. I love the honest "this is hard but worth it" posts that are preparing me a bit for when I dip my toes (belly flop?) into motherhood myself.

Those feet? So cute.

So glad to see you back. I love the picture of the boys feet. It sounds like you're doing a great job and you should always ask for help! A sane and happy mommy makes a happy family.

I normally don't read blogs that deal with kids, etc...I don't have any and feel I can't relate, but yours and Dear Baby are the only ones I can stick with and feel that you are honest about raising kids and life. I appreciate that and I look forward to reading more. I started reading your blog when you were planning your wedding and have stayed on. I enjoy your writing/blog and I hope you continue on.

I concur. The weight the second time around took a little longer to come off but it did. And actually more than the first time. So don't sweat it. And sometimes it is all about survival. The fist year was loaded with those days for me. You're doing a great job!
