I stumbled across your blog from a link on the 20sb awards page (well done by the way!) and I just HAD to leave you a comment to say how freakin’ jealous I am at how well you write. Seriously lady, you’re fabulous! *envy* I may just have to sit here all afternoon and just devour every single word…

Is that a picture of you? Because I saw that picture on my (very gay) friend’s MySpace and wondered where he got it from. Weird if people are stealing your graphic! Not cool!

I don’t know how I never read your “About me” before. I’m wishing I was an editor or publisher – free shoes and grilled cheese sandwiches would be awesome 🙂
So while at the gym this evening I was thinking – you’ve inspired many with your weight-loss pictures, I’d love if you walked us through a sample week of your gym routine!

One of the posts on your blog was a “possibly related post” on mine, which is why I’m here. Just wanted to say I’ve read a few posts and I love your writing style. I will be back!

I just wanted to say that I stumbled across your blog and immediately thought, “this girl should be a writer.” Just thought I, a complete stranger surfing the web one night, would let you know that you have a certain charm to story telling. Good luck!

I just found your blog today and felt like I was reading about myself. I have a Newfoundland who also has more personality than most people I meet! My dog has also made me fall and hyper-extend my knee…gotta love them!

You are so right!! The only thing more addicting than Rachel Ray tv shows is shoe shopping, and since my hours at work have been cut so has the shopping. It’s sad…I’d rather shop for shoes than clothes. At least shoe shopping doesn’t make me feel fat. But seriously, what is it with Rachel Ray??

Hi there,
I’ve read your blog a few times and really enjoy your writing, your honesty and your humor!
You seem to have such a great relationship and I guess I had a question for you, since you are an outsider and can provide an objective 3rd person perspective.
I was dating this guy Mark for about 5 months. I really liked him, he is a great guy (in NYC it’s hard to find really good guys) with a sweet job he likes, strong sense of family values and always treated me and my friends well.
There were sparks all the time. We really care about each other.
Yet, 2 weeks ago he broke up with me.
For the last 2 months, I’d been pulling away (It’s something I always do when I start to get close to a guy) and I guess I sabotaged it in my own way. You would have thought that I’d have learned my lesson. But I haven’t. Clearly.
So yea, I wasn’t suprised he broke up with me but then my whole world shattered because it finally sunk in that I had lost him. And so I wrote this long email stating all my insecurities and why I acted the way I did, bla bla bla…basically I was not prideful which was hard.
He sent a very thoughtful gracious email back saying that it was not really that, just that he lost the ‘romantic spark’ which seems kind of like bullshit because we just hung out the day before.
I do feel like it’s mostly my fault and a bit his too (for not calling me out on my shit and my passive aggressiveness).
End of story… we decided to remain friends.
We are still friends.. we text and email a few times a week But have yet to see each other since the break up.
I miss him. Not just having a bf, but actually HIM as a person.
What to do?
He hasn’t made any attempt to meet up. No ‘let’s get dinner, coffee’ etc…
I’d like to see him but am scared that I’m not strong enough.
Also, he’s just a boy (25) and I’m 27 and maybe he just needs to grow up.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So I’m here. Been forever. Just read for about an hour. Came to the about page and read the ‘office far, far away….’ and, well, I smiled.
