My sister sent me this video yesterday and it just made me so happy, I had to share it. I spent three hours the other night watching The Sound of Music — a movie that not only reminds me of my childhood and my grandmother, but provided the wedding scene that was the source of my love of weddings.
This video has nothing to do with the movie other than the song, but for some reason, it made me teary. (In a happy way!)

When I saw this, I said this was like my dream come true. I wish people would start singing The Sound of Music songs in public – this would have been the best day ever. (I also spent Sunday watching the movie on TV, right after watching Mary Poppins.)

What a great performance! I love the Sound of Music and listen to the soundtrack all the time, Do-Re-Mi is my favorit. Our familly watched the movie on New Year’s Eve at my Gramma’s. Thanks for sharing!

wow, that was so cool! very well choreographed with so many people! I love how some of the onlookers looked either horrified or completely disinterested, like it was no bog deal that this was happening!

molly, that was amazing. thank you for sharing that! i teared up a little too! people are inherently good. that’s what i’ve decided. for all the bad in the world, if somewhere in a train station hundreds of people can find joy from the sound of music, our world is okay.

I watched it the other night too (it’s been years since I’ve seen it). I so wish things happened like this in real life!

I loved that. I just recently had a movie day with my mom and we picked this movie to watch again. Man, I do wish we broke into tune more often!
