Do you find when you have a day off from work the next day is ridiculously! busy! all! day!? That’s what’s happened to me today, so in lieu of talking all about the almost 100% wedding date (October 24, 2008!), I’m taking a cue from my girl Clink and asking for your opinion. Of course, I probably can’t afford most of these for my wedding day shoe, but it’s nice to dream, right?
#1 Sophisticated, yet sweet. I love how the little bow would peek out from under my dress and the heel isn’t super high so I wouldn’t have to worry about changing shoes later.
#2 Simple and very bridal. It’s one of those dyeable shoes, so much more affordable then say, a Jimmy Choo and I like the little rouching on the straps.
#3 Mainly because it’s a Stuart Weitzman and so freaking cute. I’ve actually had this particular shoe in the “Wanting” column in multiple colors. Le sigh…
#4 For something totally different, perhaps a pop of color in something fantastic like red. Or blue! Or pink!
So, what do you like and why? And feel free to send me pictures of your favorites (or the most appalling things you’ve ever seen.) When readers send them I always save them to add to the next Makes My Feet Hurt installment!

I love your shoe taste! And you know I wore crocs in my wedding (hey it was comfy and no one saw my feet).
I love the idea of having a brightly colored shoe. And that way you can wear them year round.
And yay for a Fall wedding. It’s going to be gorgeous!

oh go with something a different color! i had a winter wedding and wore dark green shoes (my favorite color)…having a special shoe allows you to incorporate your own style and sense of who you are. i loved doing something fun and different : )

The cutest shoes I saw… my boss got married last year, and they married at a lighthouse it was so damn beautiful. She had the best dress and they married outside and so she wore these delicate little flip-flops. I know that probably sounds like wedding horror to you, but if I had a pic I would send it, it was so SO cute.
But if I had to pick out of these? I would totally go with red.

I love that you’re going to have your wedding in October! I have always wanted mine to be in October too!
My mom wore sequined sneakers to her wedding… it worked for her. 🙂

I like them all. But especially number two. I don’t know much about shoe terms, but I like that the side of the shoe isn’t continuous–it just has a strap and a heel. And also, if you go with your current wedding date, you’ll be getting married exactly one week before me!

You know that I’m going to innundate you with thousands of shoe pictures. Of those you provided – Stuart’s are my favorite.
My fellow show wh***, I’m wearing purple patent leather pumps today. A new addition to the collection. They rule.

Oooo so cute. #2 and # 3 are my winners but the heel might be HELL since you have to be on your feet ALL day. Unless you plan on changing after the ceremony.
But um how fun would red shoes be?! I love that idea.

and oh, fall wedding? YAY. and YAY for oceanfront view. SO HAPPY FOR YOU! SQUEEE!

you know I love Stu’s shoes. I say something along that style…maybe with a little sparkle or something where it gathers—that reminds me of a pair of Manolo’s Carrie B had on Sex and the City—but I say totally go for a color while you are at it—you love shoes, so why can’t that be your blue?!
oh btw my parents got married in october too! post coming on this topic soon 🙂

Totally in love with #3…but like BB said pending other options that’s not my final answer 🙂
And how excited are you about having A DATE?!! SQUEE!

oooh i looove #4. peep toe is so cute and being an october wedding…more appropriate than open toe, i’d say. #1 is very classy though. i like that one too!

I LOVE the red shoes. Love, love, love. Perhaps just for the reception?
If we’re going for white, then #3. Stuart = a god.

I like 2 and 3 best. I do like the idea of spicing up with some colour. Like your shoes could match the rest of your wedding colours. What about deep orange? That would be so perfect for a fall wedding. Or blue- get your blue in with the shoes?

i think that would ROCK for you to beyond the norm and wear shoes that pop! like the red ones. they’re adorable!!
if i had to choose from the white ones though, definitely #3. stuart weitzman…is there even a question?!

I love the 3rd one. It’s simply perfect.
Also, how cute would these be with the right dress: http://www.londonsole.com/collection_img/LC15_big.jpg

I vote #3 as well. Or yeah, like BB said, fun shoes would be, well, fun. Whatever shoes you wear, we all know they’re gonna be fabulous. You are, like, the shoe queen ’round these parts after all. 🙂

The first ones are very cute, but a splash of color is a great idea, plus you can wear them again!

My vote’s for # 3 because I love them. If I was getting married again, though, (and I really wish I was, if only for the shopping) I would go for these:

or these:

I could go on, but I will resist 🙂 I like the idea of going with red or some other colour, too, though – at least that way you get to buy something you can wear again, which has to be a good thing.

Loving the #3 shoe. It looks to be pretty high, but I think that a shoe can really make you feel sexy, even if no one sees it, and that shoe fits the bill perfectly! I say throw caution to the wind on this one and splurge for beautiful, yet classic shoes that you won’t feel embarassed about 20 years from now.

I LOVE number 2, 3, and 4. SO cute! But wont your feet hurt in SUCH high heels for hours? Or are you planning on bringing a more comfy pair to change into?
CONGRATS on an almost positive date!!!

10/24/08 is my date as well!!!! And how lucky you are to have OCEAN FRONT!!! that sounds totally FABU!
I’m voting for #1 so classic and classy and #3, could be worn again with something non-wedding. All my friends keep telling me to remember ON FEET ALL DAY MUST HAVE COMFY. Does my eye get drawn to the comfy when out looking?? H-E-L-L no! Pointy! High! PINCHY!
As my one friend said to me, “You get those, and we’ll end up decorating your ankle brace with lace and ribbons.”
*sigh*

i don’t think i’ve been to a wedding where there bride has had shoes on the entire time. i’m just saying. i like the color. i saw go for it.

I love #3. Way more than any of the others.
My gown had some satin stitching on it (it was an Oleg Cassini- the last one Julia Roberts wore in that wedding movie where she kept standing guys up). I wanted to go barefoot for my wedding, but WH insisted I wear something because we were married outside. I got keds with a very similar satin stitching to the pattern on my dress. I pulled the shoelaces out and used pink ribbons instead. 🙂

I have to agree with Mike. At some point during the day/evening you will no longer be able to keep your shoes on, it just happens that way. You are going to be on your feet THE ENTIRE DAY. As much as you want to look cute, you will in whichever shoes you choose, but my advice is buy two pairs. Something extra cute and maybe something just as cute, but really comfy.

I vote for color! But I’m biased as I wore light blue shoes (they of course were my “something blue”). I got tons of compliments – people saw them because I kept hiking up my dress to cool off. That’s what happens when you get married in July.
Good for you on choosing October!

I love shoe #2 because I think it would look wonderful with your dress. However, I want you to rock a colored pair of shoes and wow everybody at your wedding. Oh and if you’re extra nice to me we can talk shoes, or shoe depending on how expensive a pair you want, for your bridal shower present!

the first is my FAVORITE. however the idea of putting a pop of color on your feet? I love that too. you should probably match your shoes to your flowers… how much fun would that be?

Love #3 and 4! The color would be totally fun!
What are the colors going to be for your wedding given that it’s in late October? I love that time of year for a wedding!

I knew this was going to be your favorite part… I like #1. I’ve heard that pair of dyeables is not comfy… and you’re definitely not going to want to have to take your shoes off because then your dress will drag on the ground.

I vote for #1. You are going to be on your feet all day. Go for comfort that still looks good.

Stuart Weitzman! Stuart Weitzman! So pretty. I like the first ones too- so girly- but i fear that with that big bow it may sometimes catch the hem of your dress and make the dress fall a bit funny. Oh Stuart Weitzman, how I love the!
